Lab technician @IISc

Application is invited for a lab technician to perform DNA based ecological and entomological research at the Centre for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. There will be opportunity to publish data and participate in weekly journal clubs/lab meetings. This is a full-time contractual position, renewable on an annual basis. Salary as per IISc norms and experience.

Essential: prior knowledge of molecular techniques.

Duties: to support several collaborative projects in ecology, and evolution. Specifically he/she will conduct laboratory, and field experiments; perform inventory and order material/supplies in a molecular biology laboratory; enter data and manage databases on a regular basis; maintain laboratory in working order; assist students and other personnel with research.

Qualifications: A strong science background BSc.or MSc degree in molecular biology, ecology or related discipline is preferred.
