A Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance funded PROJECT ASSISTANT position is available immediately at the Centre for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Students interested in the ecology and evolution of infectious diseases and/or parasite-host interactions are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in molecular biology or ecology or comparable with a strong background in ecology and evolutionary biology.
Project Assistant will support several collaborative projects in ecology, and evolution in the lab. Specifically he/she will conduct laboratory, and field experiments. Hands on experience with DNA based techniques will be an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications as per IISc rules.
