The Use of Social Media in Biodiversity Conservation

This Workshop is organized by the Centre for Environment Education (CEE) with the support of the National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) in partnership with the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (UNCBD).

Aim

The workshop aims to address the prospects of social media in the development sector, particularly in promoting biodiversity conservation with the support of youth.

The workshop will provide you with opportunities to

• Interact with the experts in the area of Information Technology, Communication, Biodiversity Conservation, and Education for Sustainable Development;
• Explore the scope of the social media for biodiversity communication;
• Design your own short term dream project in biodiversity conservation involving social media;
• Participate subsequently in national and global efforts to conserve biodiversity
• Eventually be a part of the Sustainable Development movement
